Frequently Asked Questions

What’s included in the Serum 2 Preset Bundle 2026?

⚠️ These are Serum presets, not the Serum VST plugin.

You’ll get 6 full Serum 2 packs featuring 544 presets in total — covering Tech House, Melodic Techno & more. Each preset is fully tagged, organized, and ready to use out of the box.

Do I need any specific version of Serum to use them?

Our packs were created using Serum 2 presets, so you’ll need the latest version of Serum 2 to load them correctly.

Are the presets compatible with every DAW?

Absolutely. As long as your DAW supports Xfer Serum and you have a valid, up-to-date version of the plugin installed, you can use the presets in any major DAW — including Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Cubase, Bitwig, and more.

Are there also drum samples or only Serum presets?

The main focus is on Serum presets (400 total), but the bundle also includes bonus drum samples for faster track creation.

Additionally, several of the included packs — Voltage Vol. 1–3, Artist Vol. 10, and Blueprint — each come with their own drum sample collections, featuring loops and one-shots.

In total, you’ll get five full drum sample packs alongside the Serum presets.

How do I install the presets?

After your purchase, you’ll receive a download link. Download and unzip the .zip file first. Then place the preset folders into your sound library:

Mac example:

Library → Audio → XferRecords → Presets →

Serum 1 presets: put all Serum 1 files (.fxp) into your Serum 1 presets folder.

Serum 2 presets: put all Serum 2 packs (.serum2presets) into your Serum 2 folder.

Important: Serum 1 and Serum 2 presets must be stored in their separate folders (because of the different file formats).

After moving the files, restart your DAW or rescan Serum’s browser so the new presets appear.

Questions? rafael@soundfactorystore.com

Do you offer refunds on digital products?

Since this is a digital sound bundle, refunds aren’t possible once the download link has been sent. However, if you have any technical issues, we’ll make sure you’re fully supported.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Presets

🎹 Start with the MIDI clip previews

Probably the best new feature in Serum 2 and the fastest way to get inspired.

Just drop a drum loop into your DAW, then click through the preview presets.

You’ll instantly find sounds that work for your vibe.

From there, simply tweak the MIDI to make it your own.

🎧 MIDI inspiration

Every preset comes with a custom MIDI clip played and created by me in the studio.

Use them as a starting point or tweak them to fit your own vibe.

🎛️ Macro Controls on Every Preset

All presets come with 8 fully mapped macros carefully chosen for each sound.

I picked the most useful parameters to shape and evolve the preset while producing.

What’s electronic music without automation?

Turn the macros, explore the movement – that’s where the real magic happens.

Always amazing work.

Your presets are always an invaluable source of inspiration for me. I use a variety of approaches when composing, but experimenting with sounds from SoundFactory is one of my main ways of developing and refining great tracks.

Best for: High-quality, clean, and modern presets (Melodic techno , indie dance

"The sound design here is top-tier. What I appreciate most is the intelligent macro mapping; every preset is highly tweakable, allowing for quick tonal shifts without diving deep into the matrix. The wavetables are unique and provide a crisp, modern digital sheen that stays clear even in a dense mix. Definitely a 'pro' level expansion."
